Decorating Easter Eggs

When we got home from Disneyland I was too tired to decorate Easter Eggs. Easter was the next day. I told Chloe we would do Easter Eggs on Easter because the Easter Bunny needed a break. I ended up getting sick and we didn't decorate the eggs until Tuesday. I was hoping that the kids would just forget about it, but my little Chloe never forgets anything.

Chloe loves this egg holder. It makes it much easier to paint all sides of the egg. All of her eggs were rainbow colored. Chloe insisted that she and Gavin needed to wear their Home Depot aprons for this project.

She is very excited about painting her egg.

Gavin thought it was fun painting the eggs, but he really loved the tattoos I had for him to rug onto the eggs.

Gavin wanted to make sure he didn't miss any spots. He also like dumping glitter all over the freshly painted egg.

My smiley boy.

My Cousin Scott

Scott is the 4th person in from the left.
This was a birthday party for Grandma around 1992.

This picture was taken at a family get together in 1990.
My mom just called me and told me that my cousin Scott (second row, blue tank top) was killed yesterday in an ATV accident. I usually only like to post the happy moments on our blog, but it seems appropriate in this case to make an exception. His passing has caused me to stop and reflect upon the many fun times spent with my cousins when we were children. Time goes by too quickly. This is how I will always remember my little cousin Scottie.

Breakfast At Disneyland

The kids were so excited to have breakfast with Minnie Mouse and her friends. It was early in the morning, but we all had a lot of fun. At first the kids were really shy about going up to the characters, but after awhile they were asking us to take pictures of them with each of the characters. Chloe had her braids tweaked by many of the characters. She giggled through the whole meal.

Disney Character Breakfast

Princesses & Fairy Friends

Chloe and I waited in line for two hours to get pictures with the Princesses. Chloe was really excited while we were in line, but she became shy when it was her turn to talk with them. She forgot what she was going to ask them.

Chloe told me that this was her favorite fairy because she had really long hair.

Snow White was Chloe's favorite princess.

This was the beginning of a very long, but fun day.

False Start

We were so excited to go to Disneyland for spring break. Our flight was suppose to leave late morning, but when we got to the airport the our plane was cancelled due to machanincal problems. We were glad they discovered the problems before we got on the plane. Luckily, we were standing at the baggage check-in desk when they made this announcement. We were able to immediately change our flight to the next out going plane. This gave us a couple of hours to kill, so we went back home and had a picnic in our side yard. Then we went back to the airport and started our Disneyland adventure.
