Gavin Looses His First Tooth
While we were visiting my family in Portland, Gavin lost his first tooth. It was February 16th. It happened while he was at church. Luckily, he was in Aunt Heather's primary class. Gavin turned to Heather and said, "Help. My tooth is hanging off my lip." The tooth was barely holding on, so Heather was able to pull it out with only a little bit of bleeding. Randy wasn't with us in Portland and Gavin wanted to show him his tooth, so Heather told him that the Tooth Fairy doesn't work on Sunday and to save his tooth for her until he got home the next day. Heather is going to make a great mommy some day.

Here is Gavin with his coin on Tuesday morning.

Clara & Grandpa Visit
Clara and Grandpa came to visit us in February. Chloe and Clara had a blast dressing up and dancing around the house. I don't think I have ever heard Chloe giggle so much. Grandpa didn't have as much fun. He came to fix our computer and ended up having to take it home with him for some serious problem solving. Thanks Dad!

Scented Markers: Not Reccomended for 4 year Olds
When Chloe got up from her nap today she went into the craft room to color. This is not unusual for her. She is very creative. A short time later she came upstairs and gave me her big "I just did something noddy now guess what it is" smile. As I started to ask her what she had done her smile got bigger. This is when I took a closer look at her and realized that there was something not right about her nose.

Chloe had taken a yellow marker and colored all over her nose. Someone gave Chloe a set of scented markers for her birthday last year. Lemon seems to be her favorite scent. Earlier today when I was coloring with Chloe she kept smelling the yellow marker and saying, "Smell it mommy. It smells like yummy lemons." I guess she thought that if it was all over her nose she wouldn't need the marker. I couldn't stop laughing. Of course the scented markers will have to disappear. Chloe also thought it was funny until I told her I didn't know if I would be able to get it all off. She was very distressed with the idea of going through life with a yellow nose. Luckily after a lot of soap and scrubbing it all came off. I don't think she'll try that trick again.

I love finding new accessories that I can use on my blog. Here is my latest find. I think it is kind of fun and the kids are so cute in the snow. The pictures are from our December snow storms.
